Beautiful Newborn - Northern Utah Newborn Photographer

I have the privilege of working with this newborns mom. It was a lot of fun to see my coworker being a mom. I have a few favorites when it comes to babies:

1. The way they stretch
2. Their tiny little fingers and toes
3. The scent of baby oil
4. How people talk to them

Congrats on your little blessing!

Handsome Newborn --Northern Utah Newborn Photographer

One of the greatest things about living in Cache Valley is the opportunity to enjoy the beautiful fall season. As soon as fall is over unfortunately comes my much dreaded w-i-n-t-e-r. I always hope that we can skip the snow and go right to blooming spring tulips. For some reason I don't foresee that happening.

This week I had a great session on the incredibly hot day with record high temperature of 11 degrees farenheit. Yes you read right. It was 11 degrees!!!! I brought along several hand warmer packs to keep this absolutely adorable newborn somewhat warm. He did great! No crying, no screaming. I love the fact that I work with great mothers who trust me and know that I really do have the newborn's well being at heart. This photo took at whopping 45 seconds to set up and shoot at the most so please don't think that I'm a big mean photographer. I loved this picture so much that I had to post it. I haven't even finished looking through all of the session yet!

Welling family, thanks for a great session and being such troopers in the great Cache Valley cold. More of your beautiful images to come next week.

Winter Bridals -- Northern Utah Wedding Photographer

In this day and age I spend a lot of brides prefer to communicate through email, texting and facebook. It is so much fun when I finally get to meet my brides face to face. When I met Autumn it was so much fun to be around her! She was relaxed during our shoot and didn't complain once about being out in the Utah subzero temperatures. My favorite part of any bridal shoot is listening and watching the bride talk about their fiance. Autumn beamed each time that she talked about Dane!

Last month I shot engagement photos of her brother Kase. I enjoyed the opportunity to meet the rest of the family. In my opinion referrals are the greatest compliment any photographer can receive!

Autumn and Dane I am really excited to be a part of your special day.....ten days and counting!

The Journey -- Northern Utah Portrait Photogorapher

A few weeks ago I challenged myself to shoot everyday. I haven't been great at doing that...time to get rededicated and re-focused on that effort. I went out on a shoot and had this quote in mind. I really enjoyed the way this simple photo turned out.

Beck Family -- Northern Utah Family Photographer

I loved my session with this family a few weeks ago. One of the things I love about family sessions in the fall is the beautiful leaf bokeh! (the blurry background) I loved looking through all of these pictures and working on their edits. I loved their clothing choices. Thanks Beck family for a great weekend shoot.

Halloween Portraits-- Northern Utah Childrens Portrait Photographer

This Halloween I had the opportunity to spend my day at Maceys taking children's Halloween Portraits. The day went by super fast as the line for portraits never diminished. It was so much fun to have my friend, Sarah, there to help! I ended up taking over 1,300 images in a short 7 hour period. I have just barely started to look through the images and love this little pirate. I love seeing kids dressed up in their costumes. It always brings a smile to my face.

Sarah, thanks for all of your great help! I don't think I could've made it through the day without you!

Huff Family-- Northern Utah Family Photographer

Last week I had the chance to hangout with this beautiful family. I had so much fun during this session despite that this handsome little guy was teething. He is normally all smiles and giggles, I hope for the second half of our session he has a few more extra teeth to show off in our pictures.

This little boy melts my heart! -- Northern Utah Childrens Photographer

Last week I had the opportunity to photograph the Beck family. They are a cute family that used to be in my neighborhood. I know that I mentioned that I had the chance to do family pictures but for a sneak peek this little boy was sooooo cute that I decided he needed a post of his own! I encouraged his parents to bring something to entertain him and they brought along Mr. Teddy. I love the pictures of him hugging Mr. Teddy. More great pictures to come from this family session later.

Whitney & Kase Engagement Sneak Peak! -- Northern Utah Wedding Photographer

I have had the luxury of working with Whitney for several years at Maceys. I was really excited when Whitney came back to Cache Valley at the end of the summer and started to sport the beau-tee-ful pink floral shirts at Maceys :-)
I had a blast spending some time with these two...despite the fact that Kase is over 6'10" and Whitney is 6'2". I am incredibly short at a measly height of 5'5 and 3/4". (Give me some credit every little millimeter is one in my favor). I loved hearing these two talk about how they met (Maceys!), their first date, their favorite things about each other. It is apparent to anyone who watches these two interact just how much they love each other and have fun together.
Congrats Whitty and Kase! I am really excited for your beautiful December wedding!

Melissa the Model--Utah Maternity Photographer

A few weeks ago my husband and I went to Yellowstone with some friends. Unfortunately we had to take an unplanned stop in Swan Lake, Idaho. While the guys were trying to get the car fixed, I grabbed Melissa to be my model for a few quick shots. I can't wait until her baby is born at the end of January.

Krystalee Portraits--Utah Portrait Photographer

Krystalee is one of those people that you can't help but be happy when you are around her. She is 100% beautiful and helps everyone else around her feel magnanimous! While we were out shooting this amazing storm moved in and I was really excited to be out shooting in it. Thanks Krystalee for night full of lots of giggling and catching up!

I was lucky enough to have her be one of my bridesmaids a few years ago and she came to the rescue more than once. If you have a chance to listen to her sing...you'll be amazed! Thanks Krysta for a great shoot, I had a blast! Good luck this last semester of school. I'll miss seeing you around work on a regular basis.

Bracken Family--Utah Family Photographer

Little kids are so much fun to be with! This little blue eyed doll smiled at the camera for almost our entire session. I loved listening to her little giggle our entire session! It was a lot of fun to hang out with the Bracken family. Thank you Julie and Garrett!

Spring Bridals - Kaylene -- Utah Wedding Photographer

This summer I had the opportunity to photograph beautiful Kaylene! Kaylene's wedding colors were various shades of pinks. When she booked her session she said that she HAD to have pictures in front of a great hot pink door that she found. We had a blast at our various locations around Logan. Kaylene wasn't sure if she wanted to have flowers for her bridals, I solved that problem by creating this hand tied bouquet with the coaching of my friend Sarah who runs Maceys floral.

Thanks to my great sister in law for this referral!

My style is fresh, fun, and candid. I believe that photography is a way of capturing a moment in time. Everyone is beautiful and I love to capture each person's uniqueness. During your session I ask that you be prepared to let go and have fun. You will see me climbing a tree or laying in the sand to get the shot. I will be seen running around playing with your child. As often as possible I try to melt into the background to capture candid, honest moments. My aim is to provide you with images that capture the essence of you and result in portraits that you will cherish for a lifetime.
